Raleigh, NC- Anitra Manning, noted speaker and strategist, will address the North Carolina Region of the National Hampton Alumni Association at its conference banquet on Saturday, April 16th at 7:00pm at Hampton Inn and Suites at Brier Creek. Manning noted “this is a phenomenal opportunity to address fellow alumni on the strength of branding and its connections with philanthropy.” Conference organizers anticipate attendees from throughout the State of North Carolina who have gathered to develop and address strategies to grow alumni giving and strengthen engagement.
Manning’s address fits the bill. A proud Class of 1998 alumna, Manning plans to speak with conference attendees from the topic, “May the Brand I Build Sing For Me.” Her topic pays homage to Hampton University’s Alma Mater that proclaims that each graduate must “let their lives do the singing.” It also builds on a traditional song first released in 1969 by The Consolers: “May the Works I’ve Done Speak for Me.” Manning believes their song implored listeners to build a strong brand that connects their daily work and their philanthropy in such a way that others will feel compelled and strengthened by their brand promise and legacy.
Conference attendees will be invited to build their ultimate “soul brand” that includes their professional and philanthropic works. Manning suggests that “when one leads a meaningful life, one is fully living”.
